Whether we realize it or not, each of us are the direct beneficiaries of the selfless philanthropy of Baron Frederic Emile d’Erlanger, the man who founded Erlanger with a $5,000 donation in 1889. As you know, Believe Bash is not just an annual fundraiser. This premier event brings together more than 1,200 of the most influential leaders and philanthropists in our region to celebrate and support a community asset that we all depend on when our families need it most. Last year, money raised from Believe Bash helped to renovate emergency room trauma bays here at Erlanger, the busiest ER in the city. Additionally, we were able to complete funding for “Angel Eye”, providing remote viewing capabilities for parents of NICU babies.

Believe Bash 2026, hosted on Saturday, April 18, will feature a Back to the Future theme to commemorate Erlanger’s proud philanthropic past and support its commitment to making revolutionary, next-generation technology available to us all. Your sponsorship will not only help advance healthcare in our region but also inspire others to support this life-saving cause.

In so many ways, Erlanger is a pillar of our community. As our region’s only Level I Trauma Center, children’s hospital, and largest safety net hospital, Chattanooga wouldn’t be Chattanooga without Erlanger.
